To All Nannies
Hi Ladies! I know many of you have recently applied for summer positions. I have a few tips to help you land the job.
First: Spell check your profile and ensure that you have used proper grammar and punctuation. Also be sure to capitalize what needs to be such as your name.....ahem.
Second: Please be sure to use a professional email address which would be your name@email.com. Cutesy and inapproprate emails will ultimately cost you a position. I actually had a gal apply with the email address of sexymexicanlover69@ .com. Can you say EWWWWW! Check those addy's and clean them up.
Third: Never ask a client what the salary is when they are contacting you to interview. If you have questions about a salary, please email me.
Fourth: Once you have interviewed, remember to send a thank you card. This will always give a good last impression.
Remember, if I am giving you feedback, it is to help you get the job. It is never meant to be personal. No one wants you working more than I do. If you work, then I make money. Dress prefessionally for your interviews, be clean, neat and nicely dressed. Try not to wear alot of perfume or body sprays. Take paper to take notes and ASK QUESTIONS. Be prepared to sell yourself.
Good luck this summer and remember that there will be plenty of temporary work to suppliment a part-time summer placement.
